Now a mother of 4, Fatima has spend her adolescent years traveling around the globe searching for her true purpose. Through her own experiences as child, she developed a vast interest in the emotional & social development of children worldwide which eventually led her to graduate with a degree in child psychology and early childhood development.
After working in the American education system, she made a move across the Atlantic to discover her maternal roots in Europe. Having no idea where this journey would take her, she ended up working for big corporate companies.
It was after the birth of her 3th son that she realized that life is meant to be lived to the fullest, she quit her corporate job and started her own translating & editing company. She has made it her mission to ensure that language never be a barrier. When it comes to essential literal work, whether it be books, blogs or articles, she translates the words with the same emotion & intention as the original author did.
“Motherhood is like this secret club”
Whether she was in her hometown of New York or staying in Europe, Fatima noticed that fellow mothers would always look out for one another. Whether it be watching each other’s kids in the playground, to holding a door for a mother carrying a sleeping baby & tired toddler. Unsolicited advice is always shared and phrases like ‘don’t worry it’ll pass’ become all too common. She feels that Motherheart is just like that, a place where you won’t be judged but guided.
The lesson that she would have told her younger self (and that she eagerly passes onto her children) is that “you should never be afraid to be you. Always trust your gut and your journey. Even though the seasons may change, if you stay true to yourself, you’ll know the way.”
