Asha Hossain

Founder & Curator of Motherheart, Yoga Teacher and Truth Keeper

“We need to know we’re not alone, we need to connect together and we need access to it. We need to know our options and possibilities, and learn how to come home again so we can follow our motherheart, our deepest truth.”

For Asha it all started with replacing habits or judgement with curiosity. The curiosity of her heart invited her to go within and taught her to trust her heart. As a yoga teacher she invites others to do the same, in their own space, rhythm and pace. In this way of trusting she encountered many challenges in different aspects of life, which eventually lead to healing, growth & awareness. It still does. And as a mother she can now put it all into practice, which makes everything harder some days but also makes her learn more and grow even faster, even when everything seems to stand still. After years of teaching, doing trainings in all kinds of different areas, in the most beautiful and sometimes confronting places, she came to realise that her heart knows best, and slowly started to trust, really trust! All we need sometimes is a little bit of guidance upon this beautiful path of walking ourselves home.

Asha is a mother of a 2 years old daughter, who keeps bringing her back to herself. Everything she did and came across before the birth of her daughter, and everything she encountered since she arrived here on earth teaches her more about herself. All she can do is being open to that and let her be.

Ever since she became a mother, she has this new-found love for mothers! Even before conception she felt that everything that happened before becoming pregnant, was all so her little Sura could arrive here in space, with the least baggage she could carry. It made her realise how life can unfold if you trust that path, preparing you to conceive, grow a baby and become a mama and learn more than you can ever imagine. She feels like there is so much knowledge & wisdom about all the beautiful & sometimes confronting phases in motherhood that it needs to be shared with the world. We need to know we’re not alone, we need to connect together and we need access to it. We need to know our options and possibilities, and learn how to come home again so we can follow our motherheart, our deepest truth.

Her advice in times of turmoil is to create and take space. Space to contemplate, journal, meditate or talk to dear ones. If she could give her younger self some advice it would be: to trust!
